The Offshore Challenge Orebić has become a beloved tradition, bringing joy to members of 'Pelješka jedra,' the Orebić community, and visitors alike. In the 2023 competition, Team Corto, led by Gordon Svalina, emerged victorious, also catching the largest fish, a 73.68-kilogram tuna. Corto will represent Croatia in the world championship in Costa Rica, as the Orebić competition served as a qualifying event.
The three-day fishing event in the waters of Pelješac, Korčula, Lastovo, and Mljet yielded impressive results, with 14 tuna caught, and nine out of 25 teams achieving successful catches. Other notable teams included Normabel, securing the second position, and Bokun gruja in third place.
The competition was organized by PŠD Peliška jedra and received support from sponsors, including the Municipality of Orebić, the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Orebić, and the Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
