Join Skygorilla Media and Support Korčula’s Creative Future!

We are thrilled to open up new membership opportunities for creative minds who are passionate about media production and heritage preservation on the island of Korčula. Skygorilla Media uniquely combines modern media production tools, such as drones and advanced cameras, with the preservation of the island's rich history and culture. Our mission includes supporting low or non-budget projects on the island, ensuring that the stories and events from Korčula are captured and shared with the world, despite financial limitations.

Why Non-Profit and Low-Budget Projects Matter 

Many of the events and cultural activities on Korčula operate with little to no budget. These projects, often driven by local associations and communities, play a crucial role in maintaining the island’s cultural heritage. By supporting these initiatives, Skygorilla Media helps ensure that important stories, festivals, and traditions are documented and preserved for future generations. Additionally, the lack of media professionals on the island means that without our support, many of these projects would go unnoticed. Our low-budget or non-profit work serves to bridge this gap, allowing Korčula’s voice to reach far beyond its shores.

Membership Benefits

By becoming a member of Skygorilla Media, you will enjoy access to: 


Creative Workshops: Hone your skills in scriptwriting, drone filming, photography, animation, and audio design, among others. Our audio design workshops cover sound recording, mixing, and post-production techniques, ensuring that your projects achieve professional sound quality. 


Professional Equipment: You will have access to a range of high-quality equipment, including drones, cameras, audio equipment, editing stations, and more. 


Collaborative Projects: Collaborate with other creatives on Korčula, working together to complete impactful media projects. 


Support for Local Culture: Contribute to the preservation and promotion of Korčula’s unique cultural events and historical moments. 


Festival Preparation: Gain experience preparing for and attending film festivals. Skygorilla Media is working towards hosting its own film festival in the future, right here on the island, where your work could be showcased alongside other filmmakers! 

Membership Fee & Commitment

The cost of membership is just €10 per month, with yearly payment made in advance. This fee supports the ongoing costs of equipment maintenance, workshop organization, and other member benefits. While you can cancel your membership at any time, please note that refunds are not available since all funds go directly into supporting the community and maintaining the resources available to members. Your contribution helps ensure that we continue to provide essential tools and services for media production on the island. 

Rules for New Members

Active Participation: Members are expected to actively participate in workshops and projects. Your creativity helps make a difference in our non-profit initiatives. 


Equipment Use: As we rely on shared equipment, it’s important to follow the guidelines for proper use and return. Report any damage immediately. 


Respect for Others: Maintain a respectful and supportive attitude when working with fellow members. 


Project Contributions: Members are expected to contribute to at least one Skygorilla project per year. These projects often involve documenting local events, festivals, or cultural activities. 


Non-Profit Focus: Many of our projects support the local community without financial backing. Members should understand and support the importance of these projects. 


Attendance: Regular attendance at workshops and meetings is encouraged. Notify the team in advance if you cannot attend. 


Deadlines: Meeting deadlines is crucial for the smooth production of collaborative projects. 

Looking Ahead: Film Festivals

One of the goals at Skygorilla Media is to help our members prepare for and participate in local and international film festivals. These events provide excellent opportunities for networking, showcasing your work, and gaining industry experience. We are also planning to host our own film festival in the future, right here on Korčula, where the island’s unique stories and talent will be highlighted.
